Tyler Miller and
Home Business Web Link

Yes, that is a mug shot of me, Tyler Miller. In this picture, I am a 45 year oldTyler business person slowing down in life and "smelling the roses" so to speak. I have been involved in business in managerial positions for close to 25 years incurring tons of stress, long commutes, and missing life's moments with my wife and two daughters.

It was time for me to enjoy life, grow spiritually, and venture out on my own allowing me some freedom. More Freedom came at a price. With less responsibility, and shorter commutes came a reduction in salary that I was ready to accept for a period of time.

During the past years I had started two home businesses. My original thoughts of being my own boss and more time freedom is why I had started them. Only to be distracted and to quit because of big promotions in my managerial business career.

Coming around again and searching the internet for opportunities, I was shocked and dumbfounded at what I had found. Get rich quick schemes and promises of thousands of dollars a month bombarded my screen, with the never ending "sign up now" and "give us your email address".

Wow! This was not for me - no way! Too much non-information.

The Internet in my mind was supposed to be the "information highway" and somewhere along the line in turned into the internet "scam and spam highway", at least as far as information on home businesses and my concerns.

Marketing, advertising, organizing information, and the internet had always been an interest to me. I had notions of running a home business on the internet, but didn't know how and where to start to be successful.

In surfing and searching I had discovered a web site hosting company called Site Build It (SBI). They seemed to have a lot of successful SBI web site owners and offered enough trustworthy information on their web pages to make it believable - a doable thing!

I was browsing and scanning some web pages on the SBI web site that were about writing ebooks and was titled Make Your Knowledge Sell (now offered as a free ebook - Get it here). This hit a nerve. I wasn't sure how or what kind of knowledge I could provide on the Internet, but it kept me sleepless for a few days thinking about it.

I continued thinking about home business and the Internet, and decided I would build a web site to provide good information on the different possibilities on starting a home business.

And that's how you found this page and are reading this! As old Ripley might say .... "Believe it, or Not !"

On a more personal note ...

My spiritual wellness is renewed three timesold church a week or more at the First Baptist Church of Barberville. The church is a very friendly country style church with preaching from the King James version of the Bible.

We undoubtedly have some of the best leaders in our church. Our youth groups are considerably large for a church of our small size.

I stay busy most of the time and don't view TV except for the occasion news broadcast or movie with the family. Most of my media comes from the Internet.

My wife, the bank, and I have purchased our dream fixer-up home, and twenty-five acres of wooded country property in North Central Florida, not far from the east side of the Ocala National Forest. The actual town name is Pierson, and it claims to be the fern capitol of the world.

So, naturally one of my hobbies is home and property improvement. You might consider me as a kind of "Jack of all trades", but a master of very few - possibly none! LOL ;-)

My favorite sport is paint ball ! The adrenalin rush that I get from it is absolutely amazing. The rush is always intensified by the thought of getting hit by one of those paint balls, especially up close. Ouch!

I always get hit up close (up close hits are the ultimate rush, cause you know it's going to hurt a little), and many times I have bruises to show off and stories to tell about the game.

You may not like paint ball if you don't like a little stinging and a bruise or two. I recommend at least trying it. The rush and the story you can tell about playing, more often than not, far offset the little bit of the sting of getting hit. Just make sure you're not playing with hard core paint ballers your first time out.

Lately, when I play I start thinking about our troops in different locations around the world and how fragile life can be. If you have ever played paint ball, imagine those balls as real bullets flying through the air. God Bless those men and women in our military who put their lives on the line for our rights and freedoms.

I hope that I haven't bored you, probably not if you are reading this far.
